Equity American School is dedicated to the advancement of each individual student.
Our Curriculum and its presentation are major ingredients in our learning environment. We use the most advanced textbooks from top educational publishers. The curriculum is taught in English, with one period of Spanish.
For elementary we employ a continuous progress program that constantly challenges the student to excel. We strive to meet the emotional and social needs of young students. Nevertheless from the very beginning, we emphasize academics. We use a traditional approach in the classroom, stressing reading, writing and math skills. Phonics and the auditory impress method dominate our reading program.
Our Kinder-4(4 year olds) and Kinder-5 (5 year olds) are not play schools. As stated earlier, we emphasize academics and these beginners are no exception. With loving care we help the students overcome the social and emotional adjustments of beginning school. At the same time we build their self esteem by helping them develop good academic and communication skills. We strive to instill in our students not merely an ability to read, but a love for reading. Our Kinder-4's learn all of the basic skills and complete studies at what other schools consider Kinder-5 level. Our Kinder-4's learn quickly and are reading by the end of the year.
